‘Manthan’ which means ‘churning’ and what a name for an Art Exhibition cum Sale being held at Kala Academy, Panaji from 25th to 29th January 2018. It’s a combination of different art forms ranging from Warli Art Paintings, clay artifacts, Oil and Acrylic paintings, quilling work etc. It’s like a one stop shop for art lovers.
The items displayed take one to the world of imagination, full of colours and creative details. The artifacts exhibited are for daily use as well as decorative purposes. Some art pieces take us down the memory lane, while others gently remind us simplicity of life.
The exhibition is well displayed, has variety of handmade artifacts and to top it all, it has been well coordinated by BBA wing of Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College (D.M.C.), Mapusa.
Prof. Jeevan Khedekar, H.O.D. BBA wing D.M.C. Mapusa, explained the following purposes for organizing this Exhibition:
1. Improving Event Management skills of students.
2. Sensitizing students towards social causes.
3. Platform to demonstrate artistic skills of students.
4. Opportunity for artists to display their Art work.
Do visit this amazing display of creations at the earliest. It would boost confidence of students and also contribute for social cause as the proceeds of Exhibition shall be donated to an NGO working with slum children by name “Goa Outreach”.
